*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH ~ THE APOSTLES CREED

I BELIEVE IN God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; the third day he arose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Gracious God, when we are cautious with our time, we miss the chance to give of ourselves to those in need. When we are protective of our hearts, we miss the chance to make meaningful connections with those in pain. Teach us to truly live and to fully love. Let our faith be greater than our fears. Guide us in your way, dear Christ. This we pray in your holy name. Amen

PASTOR: In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.

PEOPLE: In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.

WORDS OF ASSURANCE

As a loving parent, God loves us completely. God forgives us entirely. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven. Thanks be to God! Amen

PEOPLE: Thanks be to God. Amen.
